Arlie William Huhn

Arlie William Huhn was born October 3, 1886 in Ohio. He was the youngest of 10 children born to his German immigrant parents Anna Hofnagle and John Huhn. John was a shoe maker who moved his family several times, including to Illinois and Indiana, before setteling in Story County Iowa. At age 16 he lost his mother Anna and three years later in November 1906 his father John also passed away, leaving a big hole in the family's lives.
Just a month after the death of his father, on December 19 1906 Arlie married Mattie Doss. They settled into a home in Nevada, Iowa where Arlie worked as a farmer. Together they had two children, Kenneth (1909) and Doris (1911). By 1930 the couple had divorced. Arlie was living with his sister Ella and her husband. Mattie moved to Stanhope Iowa with her daughter Doris. In 1931 Arlie married Addie Triplett.
Arlie and Addie moved to Richland, Iowa to spend out the next 20 years. On October 1, 1951 Arlie passed away just 2 days before his 65th birthday. He was survived by his wife Addie, both his children, and a granddaughter.

Arlie is my 2nd cousin, 4x removed.
