Kenneth Ernest Andreotta was born on April 22, 1928 in Clifton, New Jersey. He was the first born child of his parents Marie Czapf and Ernest Andreotta. The family had three more sons over the next 9 years. Ernest was a bus driver, while Marie stayed home with the boys who all graduated from Clifton High School.
After graduating high school Kenneth joined the Navy in 1945. He was assigned the USS Willard Keith. The destroyer operated locally between Newport and Key West, carrying out training duties off the eastern seaboard. It was also used as one of the Navy's official representatives to the Mardi Gras festivities.
When Kenneth returned home he got a job working as a machinist for a military warehouse. In November 1951 23 year old Kenneth married 18 year old Gloria Mistretta. The couple moved to Little Falls, New Jersey and welcomed 4 children into their lives, Thomas (1953), Kenneth (1956), June (1959), and Lisa (1963).
Kenneth got a job working for the Shulton Old Spice company. According to his obituary he was instrumental in the development of the Old Spice plastic bottle. After his retirement from Old Spice he and Gloria moved to West Bloomfield, New York. Their son Kenneth Jr died in 1991.
On January 20, 2017 Kenneth passed away at the age of 88. He was survived by his life of 65 years, 3 children, 2 grand daughters, 2 great grandsons, and one of his brothers.
